[Post 4] Overexploitation in the kpop industry.
Since the 2000’s, the kpop industry has grown impressively, expanding all over the world to all countries. Having bands worldwide known as Girls’ Generation, EXO, NCT, Super Junior, GOT7, BTS, among others, kpop has become a boom.
Allthough
all that we see are bands and artist “fulfilling their dreams” of being
worldwide known, not everything is happiness in the kpop industry. This is
because the artists make a hard work, doing tours, concerts and releasing new
music, but behind all this there is a not so happy part.
It has been
seen that behind all this there is a great effort, nevertheless this effort
reaches the limits. There are cases of artists in which they are overexploited
due to the amount of hour that they are put to train their dances and songs,
with little rest time and, moreover, doing diets because they must keep a
certain weight.
Unfortunately
there are known cases where like Krystal from f(x), where the artist fainted in
a presentation because of the fatigue caused by little rest and arduous rehearsals
previously taken.
On top of
this, artist must put up with bullies and critics of their music, being even
more difficult their career.
Let’s just
hope that over time overexploitation will decrease and artists can be freer.
Checked.
